I just bought an AcerAspire 4517z laptop. It has a Core Dou T2310 processor running at 1.46ghz and is 32/64 bit. However when I run the software CPUZ, I noticed that it was labelled Core 2 Duo. I am puzzled becaouse it is labelled T2310 and T2's are 32bit and core duo, while core 2 duo's are labelled as T5's and are 23/64 bit. Can you help me out?

Based on the cpu detected by CPU-z its a core 2 duo. I guess its an early version of core 2 duo processors.

I have checked at the Intel website and it says that is a core duo. Funny thing is that it labeled as core duo, along with t2330, t2370 which are all 64bit. So what's the difference about core duo and core 2 duo anyway?

Core 2 means its alot faster meaning that information on your computer is running through 2 processors as opossed to 1 2 is always better than 1.

CPU-Z is correct. The T2310 is a merom based Coore 2 Duo processor. Not all the T2xx's are Core Duo. The Pentium Dual-Core T2320, T2330, etc.. are all Core 2 Duo chips wih less cache. Jut as the new Celeron's are now based on Core 2 archetechture.
