As gas prices shoot up so does everything else, so I was just wondering if anyone had any good ideas on how to make your money stretch for groceries gas, and clothing. Besides the obvious mass transportation and carpooling.

See, the gas price all over the glob has gone up, none can escape it , except those in the Arabian Gulf. You can not stretch your money to cope up with the ongoing inflationary trend. Curb consumption, have car pooling, slowly switch over to alternative source of energy like solar battery to lit up your homes, these some companies are marketing city cars and bikes, run with solar powered cells. Keep you electrical appliances off when not in use, that way you can only stretch your money.

I have just learned to pinch my pennies. You will have to become more conscious of your spending in order to do this. Learn to live frugal and save your money with an interest bearing savings account. Maybe you can use your interest to start giving you some freedom or buy you some toys or something.

For groceries the best thing is to plan your menus carefully so you don't spend money on things you don't really need, but also be flexible when in the store and make the most of any good special offers that are on. I also buy from the market fruit and vegetables as this can be cheaper than in the supermarket and some other household goods from discount shops.

Since gas prices are shooting high, investment in oil and gas stocks will definetely profit you, considering that gas reserves are limited and gas prices would soar rocket high very soon.
