My fiancee has asthma. It's not the serious type but it bothers me coz everytime I see him reach for his medicines, I really feel bad. It didn't show up when he was still on training at the military school but after he graduated, it was there again. I guess it's because he doesn't have as much execise now as he had before. We've gone to different doctors but the best among their prescriptions so far is the mouth-spray knd of medications. It gives better relief but I would feel best if the asthme would stop permanently. Is there a cure for asthma?

I hear that yoga is good for Asthma. My Yago teacher told me this, because you are using breathing techquies. I think she is right. tell him to try it.

Hi Nicky,
Well to respond to your question i have Asthma and to sadly tell you the truth there is no CURE CURE for it. You can only keep it under control. I have had since i been born and it can be a hassle at times. Predomitatly the people who have it keep an inhaler with them at all times, especially if there asthma tends to flare up at any given moment. Asthma can be a scary thing. I guess anything dealing with your health and breathing can scare someone and make them even more precautious about certain things. But it can be controled. It can flare upp with certain foods, or certain smells in the hair. It can be a number of things. I hope that this helped. Good Luck!

No, as was said before, there is no cure for asthma and it can really hinder someone's life. I've had it since I was a little kid. All you can do is take your medicines, exercise, eat healthy, and avoid any triggers. I remember, when I was a kid, they didn't have any inhalers and I had to take this horrible liquid medicine that didn't work. The inhalers are a big improvement since then. I think if I had those as a kid, my lungs would be of normal size and strength.

My son was born with asthma and has even had to be life flighted from one hospital to another because of it. As far as I know the best you can do is take precautions by reducing the triggers. Floors without carpet are the best, air purifiers help as well. Dusting often is a necessity. Albuterol is a daily med in powder form that helps. The fast acting inhailers will be a necessity and should be kept on him at all times for his own health. Hope this helps.
