yeah... even korean horror movies, it really feel more realistic.. every scene, background music, the place, but especially the story.. i mean the story is not just a plain fiction, you can really think that the movie is somehow true... my hair will stand straight (i'm not sure if you got my point, coz i forgot the right word, heheh )... the ring is the most creepy movie i ever seen, well chuckie is also creepy but that was long time ago, and i'm still a child..

I don't really watch horror movies. But I love Japanese anime! Its much better than the subbed version because it's so authentic.

I collected horror movies, especially Asian. among the j-horror best is Ju-on (hollywood remake The Grudge), The Ring, The Spiral, and Dark Water. The Ring and Dark Water also has Hollywood remakes with the same title. Now why Hollywood would make the remake if they are not very good movies.. :) j-horrors are the scariest but usually with no-solution endings... :)

basically, i find asian horror movies scary. i think these are a lot better compared to the english version. take the case of the movie "the grudge". the asian version is a lot scarier that the english one.

The Japanese horror movies are more about the atmosphere than the English ones, so it's more scary to me. Most of the Hollywood horror remakes get lost in translation IMHO. One of my favorite Japanese horror would be Saimin (The Hypnotist), a very eerie and tense piece. The movie contains some truly creepy and gripping moments while the plot stays grounded.

i only find japanese horror movies thrilling and suspense, i dont find it scary at all, or maybe its because i haven't watch the really scary ones XD
ive seen ring zero, ring 1 and ring 2, the grudge 1 and 2 and some other more. for me its just suspense thriller, not quite scary enough.
