Here is what I believe and I hope that you will not be offended. I believe truly in my heart that Jesus Christ is God and He is my Savior and Lord of my life. That belief will not and cannot be altered and I know I will meet Him in heaven when this physical body will die!

The term "Christian" was, I believe, originally meant to be a derogatory term for those who followed the teachings of Christ after the Resurrection and his ascension into Heaven.
True, Jesus was a Jew. Originally, the apostles thought that they were supposed to spread the word to the Jewish people, but finally realized that Christ's words were meant for all people.

that's new and interesting. why do you think that the term is meant to be a derogatory term for Christ's disciples?

Well, if so, cause He is a Jew, his followers who is called Christian actually is Jews also? Because the followers have to have same "religion" with their master, don't they? What do you think?

Jesus is the Lord for every Christian, but in my opinion, we also consider He as a Christian. He asked Baptist John to baptize Him before He started preaching. As per it, as least, He liked to do everything in God's order.
Speaking of Jewish, of course, He was. He was conceived after Mary engaged to Joseph - the son of David, although, from Holy Spirit. This took place to fulfill that the Messiah would come from Davids', in another way, Jesus was recorded in David's pedigree.

Jesus was born into the Jewish faith and ethnically he was a Palestinian, namely a person who was born in what they once called Palestine. I'm always ammused by the way we have come to visualise Jesus as looking like a blue eyed Aryan when he was in fact more likely to resemble the Semitic Jews, who are ethnic cousins of the Arabs of the Middle East.
But then again, who really cares about his ethnic origins or whether he was a Jew. What's important is the fact that he created one of the most proufound messages that has helped shape an important part of human history.
Perhaps it's just me but I think too much emphasis is placed on the words, looks and race of the man instead of his spirit and the spirit of his teachings.

Was he a Jew? Yes, He was a Jew. He was, as His cross bears, the king of them. Was He Islam? I'm not sure. But my Islamic friend showed me his Koran and pointed out that Jesus was one of their prophets together with the likes and ranks of Moses and John the Baptist. So maybe that makes him a Muslim too. Now, was He a Christian? This one is tricky, because being one means to be His follower. So I guess I'll just try to answer that question like this: They say that good teachers follow what they preach. Now Jesus was a very good teacher. That was proven by Him living in the way that He taught. That being the case, then he probably set the standard for being a Christian. Ergo, He probably was a Christian in the way He lived His life too. So my answer to your questions: I think He was one and all. But hey, He can do anything anyway. He's God you know? :)

you're right but Jesus is God, isn't He? God can do whatever He will. There is no "hard" in His dictionary

hey, i dont think we are in the position to say, cos what ever we know about him, Jesus, was from source written by humans, which can be influenced by human thinking, passion, belief and interest.

that's right. our belief is actually based on the information which is not directly came from the original source (Jesus). At least, there aren't recorded prooves about what Jesus taught.

Is your question serious? Ofcourse he was a Jew. His followers were the first Christians, Islam didn't come about for another 600 years.

Jesus was born and raised a Jew, kept the Jewish festivals, etc. At the time of his life, no Muslims, by religion existed. He was not and could not therefore be a Muslim.
John 5:30
I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
What is clear from the text is that Jesus chooses to follow the Father. "Seek" he says implying free-will. That is to say, he chose to follow the will of the Father.
There is nothing here implying he was a follower of Islam, a religion that didn't exist at the time.
all the best urban

For me it doesn't matter where He came from. What matters to me is that I have known Him and is now enjoying a relationship with God through Him.
He is the start of Christianity. The term Christian was coined in Antioch according to the Bible when His followers have been preaching about Him.
Anyway, a Christian is someone who have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and it doesn't depend in what religion you are in.
