Cleaning Iron Skillets

Does anyone out there cook with Iron skillets? My mom only used Iron skillets to cook with when i was growing up. I don't remember how she cared for them. I do know that water is their worst enemy;so is there someone that knows the correct way to care for them? Thanks, logan24

I remember my mom says that we need to put vinegar into the water sprinkler inside the iron and let it turn hot and press the clag button to release the stock dirt by the small holes.
