Right now I am just trying to prepare myself to study for these college exams. I hate studying so it takes alot for me to get into the right mindset to be able to study. Plus, I can't study any more than a few days before the exam. If I start studying to early, I confuse the information and forget important facts. I just keep reading over the material unitl it is imprinted in my mind. Then when I take the exam it is easy to come up with the answer.

I used to have the same problem if I tried to study too many days in advance.

Study hard and efficiently. Get plenty of sleep the night before. Eat a good breakfast the day of the exam. Pass yourself well during the exam so that you have plenty of time for each question.

reading the title of your post made me smile. it's like college all over again. i don't really prepare for an exam. i usually cram hours before the exam, probably pull an all nighter and cram all information in my head. that's for major exams. for minor tests and quizzes, even recitations, an hour before the subject, i would borrow my blockmate's notes and study right then and there and hopefully, i could retain some of them.
this cramming scenario works for me. however, i can say that such action will produce the effect on you. you may opt to study ahead of time, you may even join study groups. others prefer to study alone in the library where silence exists.
fyi, i graduated without failing any subject---who says that cramming does not work :D (to me it does, it really does!)
