How do YOU get referrals?

The best site for me for getting referrals for Yuwie was Big Crumbs. And my one and only MyLot referral came from Yuwie. Today somebody recommended a site buyrefs.com as being really good but you have to pay for your referrals there. One friend has had HUGE success getting referrals from MySpace but then he has a large presence on MySpace. I've tried a few other things such as TrafficSwarm, Qassia and Simplerefs but not much success so far.

I've used a lot of ideas over the years. I have my own websites to get referrals and I continually try new ideas. My latest (you can find the link in my profile) is to pay people randomly for being my referrals. I use a national lottery draw to pick the winners so that no one thinks it's fixed.

i just post in forums, and become a member of traffic sits, that's pretty much it, since i dont have a blog, too lazy for that, LOL

I am having hard time getting referrals. I have read discussion and found very useful ways to get referral. But still its too much hassle finding referral. Guys have you used any recommended site if yes then tell me the about your experience.. i mean did you get any referral through that. I usually do reffering (if I do) when I chat with my friends and they usually think that site is some kind of scam or something. After I get my mylot payment I will show them the proof.

you have to do just what you said, be creative. think outside the box. remember this and it will open you up to new ideas. find out what people what, and then give them the soluctions. most people want to make more money, then you show them how they can do it. go to PTA meetings, put up flyers in the market, get business cards and put them in when you send your bills out.

I can get referrals through yahoo messenger and i can communicate with them and skype,mails,inviting friends,local friends so we have so many ways to get referrals.

I am very bad in doing referral stuff frankly. I dont have the trick to get the referral. When people say that put it on your blog, discussion etc I dont feel like doing that. When I make referral I tell to relatives and friends. I have read the discussion and I hope I apply the tips.
