Well,the star rating is probably fixed at 50/100 when you reach 100 posts. Then,based on your positive and negative ratings that you have got,your reputation will be calculated. For example,if you have received 30 positive ratings then your reputation will probably be 80/100. Even if the number of your posts increase,it will be converted to the base of 100 and the reputation will be calculated. I am not sure about this.This is what I think ,how the reputation works. And If your rating {reputation} is high,then you are good. If yours is less,then it means you should improve. But,this is what it meant earlier. But,this reputation points have been abused beyond anyone can think of. And some times,if a member is targeted by some,then the reputation points decreases,even though the member had posted good responses. So,its not given that much importance. Cheers! Your star is your rating. If you put you mouse arrow over the star it will tell you your actual rating. A 10 is the best. A persons rating goes up or down from the other members on my lot. It all goes by if a person rates you discussion or response with a positive which is the plus of a negative which is the minus. I only use the rating to help people. I never use a negative. If I do not like what a person has to say I just will not rate them. But if the person has a good discussion or response I will give them the positive. I feel there is no reason to make a rating go down, there fore that is why I will only rate positive. When I think of the whole rating system and how to rate I always think of what we hear when growing up "if you don't have something nice to say than do not say anything at all." And that is how I am with my ratings. I will never give a negative rating.

the higher the number the better i hear. A blue star with 10 is the best. However i dont fully understand it either?
