how do u make friends????

its so natural that we all do not have the opportunity to be with the same friends all through our life...at some point of time we get parted with our friends and still keep in touch with them...but now i wonder how can we make friends in a totally new environment?...will u start speaking first or expect others to come and speak to u??.. i had the opportunity of doing my schooling in different schools and i gotta make new friends everytime...i generally expect others to take initiative of talking to me...i had completed my graduation now and even in college others started to talk initially and now i have a handful of friends... so feel free to share your experiences when and how u make friends and how to overcome the total new environment with people looking strangers to u initially?...
