When my kids were younger we were involved in Boy & Girl Scouts. Along with all the fun family activities we always had a great time celebrating Earth Day. We did many activities including planting wildflowers and planting trees. Our group would try to raise awareness in the community.
My uncle raised five boys and even after they were all grown he still was there donating his time and spreading joy and excitement all day. Well, he passed away last month and I am missing him. I had an idea, instead of being sad...I am going to plant a tree at the cemetary that our pet is placed. I think this is a great idea and he would agree.
I am sure we all here at mylot do activities that show we care about our Earth and Engery. I know one day will not change the world, but if we all do put forth an effort it will show our kids and grandkids that we do care.
What are you doing this week that is different?

I doubt I will be doing anything differently. I will continue to recycle, keep the lights off and everything that I normally do to help the earth. Other than that, I'm not sure what I can do.

I try hard to keep up with these things constantly but it's difficult sometimes. I screw up like everyone else. I just need to work with those at home more to try and cut our electricity bill now.
