When we have family already, it is normal to enjoy travelling with them. Travelling alone would be enjoyable but we will surely miss our kids and wife who are left behind...

Yes, traveling alone is no fun. No one to share your thoughts, spurt of the moment of joy and help each other out when any problems arise. Well if one would choose to travel alone, you can home stay with a local family at your stopover country and then you move on solo. There are many choices one can make, don't you travelers think so?

I think it is a person's preference.
When you are a teenager - you are green to the out side world, you may travel in groups and enjoy the chattering especilly girls.
Middle age - well, some may have gone to many countries, has a family, more established in society, then the chances are its a family travel. The Golden age - children are on their own, left with the old couple. Now the choice is to roam the world together, sort of look after each's needs while traveling.
Age do have a decision on the 'travel alone' question. I hope some of you will agree.

I really love to travel and when I was younger traveled mostly on my own. I really enjoyed this because it enabled me to travel for as long a duration as I wanted to. I was able to choose my accommodation and visit all the places that I wanted to. Traveling with someone else it is possible to have one look after the luggage whilst the other one does something. Conversation can be interesting with a traveling companion. I haven't got lonely when traveling alone because I have enjoyed chatting to fellow travelers. This summer I am taking my baby son to Latvia. I so enjoy making him into a fellow traveler. He is used to traveling in many trains and buses and he has been on a plane to Portugal. I think that traveling is the delightful experience of exploring parts of the world and each trip memory is one to be treasured. I love to take many photos in the destinations that I go to.

Well for me, it really depends on my mood and the place I'm going to.
If I'm pretty exhausted after a day's work and would travel a long distance, I do prefer to travel alone. This way, I could rest my weary mind and body while I'm travelling aboard the bus.
But if I'm going on a vacation or going on an unfamiliar place especially for the first time, I'd rather travel with someone else I know and trust or preferably, with my own family. We both could marvel with the beauty of the place, take snapshots of the sceneries, engage ourselves in activities which are offered for tourists or visitors in the place.
Like right now, my husband and I decided that I'll be going and working in Singapore which is approximately, an hour away from here. If only both of us could go there together so that somehow, my anxieties would go away. I won't be too afraid to go there by myself and experience everything alone. My only consolation is that; I know God is always with me and through the prayers of my loved ones, I will get through this mission and we will be reunited after a year to live together and happier than ever.

Good luck on your plans to go and work in Singapore, know I also have plans to work there, perhaps we could meet, I think that would be nice, meeting friends through myLot and meeting in person.

I think it would be a different story to travel alone. I love adventures and this one can really be something to be proud of. I actually plan to travel alone to Europe. It would be a very nice adventure to just rely on myself to experience the different sites and sounds. It is the best way to explore the culture. However, I'm not saying I don't like to travel with company. Friends, family and generally travelling with a group is also fun because you get to exchange ideas and insights. You wouldn't feel bored and lonely too. It's just that I enjoy challenges more so I'd rather travel alone.

I really love to travel with my friends & my family. Because I feel bored when I am travelling alone. Going to different places would be a lot more fun when you have someone you can talk to...
