Yes, I agree. The dog must be paid for babysitting. #:)

i don't have any kids, but i sure wouldn't leave them alone for one second in front of a dog. the dog may get to a playing mood and be too rough with
the child. and than again, the dog could get mean, and bite the child, or
possibility kill them. so, if i did have a child, i would watch them with the
dog while they were around it. i'd also only limit certain times of the day
that the child and the dog can play with. but all in all, i'd still watch them
togeather closely.

Don't ever leave yourunder 6 year child, alone with a dog. I know you probably have some understanding with the dog, But dogs also have some jealousy when his owner have another somebody to love. Perhaps we can waith a little bit older for the baby, so the dog will felt this child love him too. That will be ok.

How well do you know the dog?? Essentially it's up to you but dogs are generally not vicious unless provoked, so maybe a better question should be if you can trust the kid. Small kids don't understand action equals reaction, so jumping on a dog and pulling his ears might result in a bitten child. I don't see that as the dogs fault. How docile is the kid?? I'd worry more about a cat hurting a baby. They get overly affectionate with a warm baby, and sometimes end up smothering them, accidentally, of course.
I am a firm believer that dogs aren't born vicious, we make them that way.

No, I would never leave a baby with a dog...unless it's a stuffed dog and even then I would hesitate. A baby has no idea of what a dog is, and it could hurt the dog in some way and the dog could nip in return...even docile dogs have bad days! I just had to put down my dog because it bit my grand daughter (she provoked the bit, but that didn't change my daughter's thought. Her mother in law has a small Lasa or Sitz that bit the girls when they were babies and is still biting to this day.). Anyway, you never leave a baby alone with any animal.

No, I would be converned what if the baby plays with it or hits it or something and something terrible would happen. Absolutely not unless you want to end up in jail.

I would not leave a baby alone with a dog. I would not leave anyone alone with any pet unless that person knew enough to be responsible. A baby has no idea about an animal, and may do something to get hersel hurt. The dog has no idea about a baby, and will probably defend herself and hurt the baby.
