first, you must know how to tune your guitar.
then choose your most favorite acoustic songs. then after, search for it's chords or even guitar tab. then play it from the guitar together with the record song. and enhance it from time to time until you play the most effective one. (it's better if it's a plucking base)
or even, there's hundreds of book manual of guitar learning, i suggest you buy one. it's more effective for those book than those that can be search in the net, (although there is some). you need how to read notes, or even know guitar and musical nature like tone, timbre, timing, signature, pause, rythm, plucking, stram, tap, fret, broken chords, etc. experience and exposure is the best teacher but none of this could be done if you're not a music lover, for it is the most required.
or learn from others, like the one your doing here. (,")

Try going to the website called Ultimate Guitar. They have a whole directory of songs you could learn. It's good that you have the rhythm down because that's important in guitar playing. The best thing to do is to just take your time with it. You'll be a pro in no time.
