does this bother anybody else

yes this would definitely bother me because I value saving everything that's still good to use. I hate to see running water wasted, food left uneaten, etc. etc.

yup.my mom does this all the time. even worse,if we have two of something,she'll open both when full because she won't bother to look if one's been opened already. which means if it's something perishable,you have to use both up faster than you intended.

Actually, shymurl, it doesn't bother me. I just throw the remainder in the medicine cabinet for the next time we run out of whatever it is that someone's opened. 'Cause we always end up running out of toothpaste, or shampoo, or whatever, at some point or another, and it's so nice to have a bit of a backup. Maybe if you try to look at it that way, it won't get on your nerves so much. Good luck, because I know that little things like that can really push the buttons!

I always buy an extra one so that we have one open and another in the cupboard and then when the we open the one int he cupboard I will buy a new one so we always have a spare one. It doesnt bother me as I will be the one that is finishing the old tube off so it still gets used.

for myself i find it does bother me, people just arnt pratical any more lol. and when people open up something new before the old was in used, alot of the time i find that the old one dont get used and its thrown out while its still good!
