How do you shop? Do you linger or go in and out? Do you get what you wanted?

When you go shopping, do you have a written or mental list and just get what you came into the store for and get out as quickly as possible or do you instead browe, look at everything, try on things, taste things that are offered to you, smell the purfumes, look at the people and end up either not getting what you intended to get or getting that and a whole lot of things you never planned to buy. How do you shop?

It is a good thing that you read labels... a friend of mine ended up purchasing some cranberry pills for the bladder at a club store instead of the natural health food store that I told her was best and found that they had more fillers than the active ingredient. It was a comparison of two ingredients in one and 10 in the other and they all had names that were too big to pronounce. She told me she had saved money but when she saw that, she took them back pronto and went to the health food store.
You are quite smart to check the labels.
I thought I had a good memory of what I needed and didn't need until yesterday I bought laundry soap and found out that I had a lot of it and did not need it yet. Now I have a stock pile of tide free. lol.
Thanks for posting here Friend. I appreciate it.

With a 100 rolls, I would be giving it away or seeking to trade it for things that I need with friends as I would have no where to store it in my apartment... I'll bet you were surprised.

It depends. Some days, I know exactly what I am looking for and I try to stick to that and get in and out. Other days, I may know what I am looking for but find it and some other stuff that caught my eyes. I will try on clothes. I don't tend to test perfume unless I found a sample of one in a magazine and want to see if I like it on me. I don't tend to just browse the perfume counter. I usually have an idea of something I am looking for.
If I am going to several places, I will make a little list so I don't forget something. Sometimes, I am just out because I am bored and I don't have anything I am looking for at all and, I can occasionally find that nothing and leave empty handed! LOL!
I make a grocery list, do my shopping and leave. I don't browse because I usually just want to get it done. Plus, the hubby does the grocery shopping with me and, he really hates it so, I try to get us in and out and, on occasions, he is the one holding us up because it took a long time for him to get his deli items. LOL!

You are a compassionate wife to hurry the grocery shopping because your husband does not like it. I have heard of some wives who wander through every store aisle looking at everything just to spite their husbands... You must have a happier marriage than they do! lol
I usually avoid the perfume counters all together... Give me though some natural oils of lavender and of other fragrances and I will be happy.
It is good to see you my friend. Thanks for posting.

It depends on who I'm shopping with. If I am shopping with my children I am in and out. (usually a good thing). If I go shopping by myself or with my husband we LOVE to linger around and spend 2 hours inside one store alone lol. I love shopping but it just depends on who I am with. But with food shopping only I like to be in and out.

I'll bet those times with your husband shopping without the children are fun, like a date.
Hope that you are able to go out to shop with your husband soon.

I perfer to shop with an agenda. Then I am in and out. Otherwise, I feel caught in confusion. LOL too much to see and little funds. I have been in stores were I lingered and bought too much of nothing and other times, in and out with just the right things. The latter was more rewarding for me.

I understand about too much stuff and too little funds... Good to see you here again... I am glad that you are posting here. Seems sometimes as if you never moved away. I remember those shopping trips and you did seem to have a plan and to know what you wanted. I can remember being glad for that as the last time we shopped I was not in a spending mode... too little to spend. Oh well. Some day we wll see each other again and shop and eat sushi, or Indian food or... Hugs to you my forever friend.

Sales are great aren't they... especially if it is really what we want.
You are quite wise to stick to a list if you want to stay on a budget... That reduces the temptation to spend more.
Hoping that if you go to purchase food items that you eat first... otherwise it is torture, especially if you have a list you are intending to stick to.
Wishing you happiness and thanks for posting here.

When you look around, you are like me. And when you go in and out, you are like one of my sisters on her shopping trips.

Trying on the clothes before you perchase them is a good practice as most are not true to size. Hoping that you find all that you like and need.
