Running into someone i may be related to online

Yesterday, i was playing dominoes, and there was this girl whos screen name was dizzautry. I was like thats my last name, where do you live we may be related. Low and behold she lives in the same state as me only a few hours away. My blood grandpas name was Kenneth, but i never meet him and dont know Anything whatsoever about his family. Well i tell her that and she says that she has a uncle named kenneth that she never meet or talked to either. So ther person that links us neither of us knows. we are both related to Gene Autry by a couple of generations down the road. Her family use to live around Dallas, close to here. It was so weird though. Out of all the rooms on Yahoo games, we both were in the same one. I thought that was awsome, have you ever ran into someone that you may of been related to but never met before?

Wow, that is really cool. No, nothing like that has ever happened to me. I've ran into other people that live close to me, but never someone I might be related too. (atleast not that i know of) So if she has an uncle named Kenneth, then her dad and your grandpa kenneth would be brothers right? so that would make you guys cousins. Are you going to meet in person?

I dont know yet, she lives a few hours away from me and im carless. My dad ironically called me that day, and when i mentioned it he didnt say nothing (he had friction with his dad) my grandma probally will be the same way. I dont know what happened in the past. She is supposed to ask her grandma and im going to email her, she is about three years older than me. I thought it was just awsome

I think the girl told me her dad had a uncle so that would make her dad and my dad cousins, and me and her second cousins, im guessing.

Do you know, I hear of this happening to people a lot,it is really funny!! It is like you were drawn together by some unseen force, like it was meant to be, really strange. Nice though when things like that happen, nice surprise for you both. Nothing like this has ever happened to me though, well not yet anyway!!

It was pretty cool, the weirdest thing is my dad called right after, i was thinking about calling him, and he called. I told him about it and he just didnt say anything. So now im also wandering what happened between my grandpa and the rest of that side of the family to make them so distant.

That's certainly possible. I added a friend a few months ago on Yuwie who has the same last name as me. I consider everyone who has my same last name to be related to be because my last name isn't a common last name so anyone who I come across with that name online I consider them all to be my cousins.

LOL yes i have a uncommon last name too, you dont here many Autrys around. I just cant wait to see what i find out
