Well... we call the different kinds of cats breeds not races. I happen to love Siamese cats, and most of my mix breed cats have some Siamese in them. Some the only way you can tell is by the voice, since Siamese have a distictive vocal sound. But others you can tell by body time and eyes - not blue, but more of a almond shape than the rounder eyes of a cat without any Oriental in them.
I don't care for the flat faced cats, the Persians and Exotic short hairs, that are bred from Persian stock.

I like Angora and Persian cats; any long hair cat, actually. My poor Tabitha had lovely longish gray fur, including her tail. She was a fluffy bundle of love!
My Columbus cat's tail has long hair, and he might be a mix. My Waffles and Mimi are calicos.

my favorites are tabby and russian blue.
i have to say the blue was the most interesting cat i'd ever had.had an intelligence that was occasionally unnerving.smart cat.

i would love to have persian cats but too bad i don't have that money to buy one
