I'm planning a wedding.

My good friends have decided to tie the knot. The groom is best friends with my man, and the bride to be is one of my close pals. She is currently in the ARMY, and won't be back until the wedding in August. Thus, leaving the groom to plan.... turns out they want my help. I guess I need to know where to start. She wants the colors to be ruby and a kind of orange (like the November birth stone). The groom will be paying for the wedding so I would also be interested in hearing any ideas on how to keep the cost low. Cute decoration ideas? Food ideas? Flower ideas? Any help is appreciated!

well i have been to my share of wedding (my hubby does sound at our church) and well there are a lot of great ideas...go to the library and have a look at books there. re flower and foods - what time of year will the wedding be? you can have food that is as easy as sandwiches or as elaborate as a 7 course meal (yes i have been to both types) i have even heard of a wedding where everyone changed after the wedding and they had a bbq...really, the ideas are endless but may take some leg work, good luck and let me know if you need any more help!
