As we are all aware, the price of oil has risen beyond all reason since Bush invaded Iraq, Do you think a withdrawal from Iraq would reduace oil prices, or has the damage been done.
Of course wow, years after the invasion we are feeling all the follow-on affects, as everything we use and eat is effected by the cost of oil.
I believe the American, and indeed the world economy is feeling the effecys of George W Bush's selfish decision. What do you think?

i think we should start to get into different technologies as well as more money saving efforts to make the money stretch longer.
and every little thing can help.

Maybe if everyone cut back on their energy consumption by 10% that would reduce the demand and subsequently reduce the price.

The invasion of Iraq does not have much impact in the rising price of oil. It is an anticipated turn of event that will happen with or without war in Iraq. Let's just be intelligent enough to make huge adjustments in the way we live to cope with the rising prices of all commodities!

A lot of people would disagree with you here. I believe if the United States ever invade Iran, oil prices would raise beyond a sustainable amount. Commodities, espically food would then be way out of reach on millions of starving people.
Iraq is making billions from the inflated prices, because of the speculative buying. This wouldn't have happened if Bush hadn't invaded.

Withdrawing from Iraq will not help to reduce oil prices.
Literally, yes, Bush is to blame for the price of oil. Because of Bush, the US economy has fallen to almost a standstill and may even go to recession. The US dollars has also become very weak against other currencies.
And it is mostly due to the weak US dollars that the price of oil has to go up in order to justify the "value" of oil...
Lastly, the inevitable thing about the high price of oil is that it will never drop to like USD$80 a barrel anymore even if US economy picks up etc...

I agree with you, except that if the troops withdrew from Iraq the huge oil consumption by the armed forces would be reduced. Thus reducing the demend and hopefully the supply.

Ah, well said. He's one of those making a fortune from his oil shares.

Being from Ny and moving to Tx, I've had interesting insights from Texas. Apparently, when Bush was running for President, he showed up at a Confederate rally in Dallas. Now in Texas, that's where you'll find your republicans. He talked about how America had problems and we should focus on home, how we shouldn't be out meddling in world affairs. He told these people EVERYTHING he ended up doing, by convincing them that he wasn't. So the problem isn't just with people voting for someone they want to hang out with, they really believed this man was one of them.
Now people are talking about January 20, 2009, sending Bush back to Texas....I've heard Texans say, "What if we don't want him back?"
Texas is a very proud, nationalistic state. Bush might have a ranch here, but I'm now being told he's a Massachusetts man. Before they we're proud to have him, now he's no longer one of them. When you lie to your people, how can you go "home"???
