Its tru story from China, Codey Porter, 10, asked his friends to bury his head in sand, in a backyard because he wanted to mimic a favorite cartoon character "Naruto," a program featuring ninja who can hide by burying himself, breathing through a tube.

Parents should accompany thier children while watching, even animes and cartoons. They must tell their children about reality and cartoons. "Parental Guidance" should always be practiced.

wow. thats sad. this is why kids should monitor their children. Naruto is meant for more of a pre-teen audiance and parents should ALWAYS be aware of what their children are watching. Its a sad thing, but people do need to learn and of course the anime Naruto can't be blamed for something like that.

Scary. The effects of anime on little boys' minds. I wonder what his parents thought of this?

This is what happens when there are grown-ups who think animes are just for kids. But we can't blame the parents entirely too. Some kids are just too overly creative, they must be taught to expect the consequences of their actions.
But, as far as I remember, I never seen Naruto or any other characters bury themselves in sand and breathe through a pipe. I've seen that in ninja movies for grown ups, though.
