50 Cent Phone Call? - 50 Cent Phone Call?????

My cell phone ran out of power the other day while I was out and I had to use a payphone. I got out my trusty quarter and went to make my call. Much to my surprise the phone kept asking for another quarter, I thought the thing was broken, until I read the sign on the phone that said 50 cents for a call. Are you kidding me? When did this happen? I feel like one of those old people who loves to tell you stories about when you could by a coke for 5 cents. I cannot believe this!

It's been like that for a while now. I usually use my phone so I don't really care but it does bug me that there are less and less payphones now that there used to be. I understand everyone's got a cell or a home phone now but we still need them in case of an emergency

Yes we do still need payphones for the precise reason this guy needed one. Cell phones don't stay up forever.

Last time I used a pay phone it was an odd amount. I believe .35 so .50 doesn't surprise me at all.

My goodness. that is cheap. Good to see you all still have payphones. Every single one here in DC is gone, gone, gone. but, yep 50 cents is the price my friend.
