I have an unverified account with almost $50 in it that I can't spend because paypal won't let me spend it anywhere until I verify my account...which I can't because I do not have a credit card or bank account.

Do you mean you can't buy things in ebay and some where like that? so,we can only see that money and can't do nothing with it? And just above your reply a user said, you can buy from ebay with unverified account. Great.I am really confused now! Can we atleast send it[donate] to another paypal account? I mean someone we know,so that we can collect it from them?

I'm pretty much confused too because I see other people saying that unverified accounts can be used for ebay. I didn't try mine on e-bay so maybe it is possible. I know for sure you can't send it to another account because I did try that. I also tried close my account and have them send me a check...couldn't do that either until I verified...agh! If I could verify it I wouldn't need to close it!

Well,in that case I think I better ask mylot to with held my payment upto the maximum. Whether its in mylot or paypal,I can only see it and can't use it.Great! Atleast my earnings will be more secure in mylot than paypal. When I reach my payment in 6-7 months,I think I would atleast find a solution to this by then!

You can buy items online - Ebay, Barnes & Noble, Starbucks, etc - online without a verified account.

I don't know. I have had a PayPal account for years and for the longest time it was unverified and I could use it everywhere paypal was accepted. You could also accept payments, but the limit was lower. All I can think is that maybe it has to do with the age of the account. Maybe after i opened my account they changed TOS?

I think they must have changed the TOS. My paypal is only a bit over a year old....and I am most definitely over any age limit they might set LOL. As I just said below, I bought something from an ebay auction and could not pay for it with my paypal...maybe an ebay store is different?

Please verify your paypal account, it would be more secure and beneficial to you. You can use money to buy things on-line, for example through e-bay. You can transfer your money from paypal to any of your bank account or credit card account. If you still have any doubt, you are welcome, I would clear it.

Please do not use xoom. I used it once, they charge hefty amount for transferring the money to your bank account. It would be better for you to open a bank account, then you can get a debit card from the bank also. Thereafter, you can transfer the money from paypal to your bank account. Best of Luck!

Yes you can buy things from ebay or from any other website which has tie up with paypal.I am unverified paypal account holder.I add a bank account to my paypal account. I can transfer $500 each month to my bank account. Total check withdrawing limit of paypal is $3000.I think paypal has different rules for different countries.

"I am unverified paypal account holder.I add a bank account to my paypal account." Adding a bank account makes your paypal account verified so you aren't an unverified account holder anymore. I know this because I can't verify mine because I don't have a bank account and the won't let me use my s/o's bank account because he already used it to verify his paypal.

Hi 98765m, the way I understand it is your account in Paypal will remain unverified until you cash out from your local bank. This is Paypal's way of knowing that the account actually belong to somebody. I also have an account in Paypal, come my cash out, I will report my bank transaction to Paypal, only then that my status as unverified will be removed. I am hoping that I understood it correctly, but It would be nice to hear it from those who actually did.

i'll share with you my experience with paypal! Currently i also hold an "unverified personal account" with paypal. The good thing with personal account account is that it dosent have any fees associated with it and every thing appears to be free. I have made few purchases online with my unverified personal account, for instance i bought a domain name recently with my paypal balance. The problem with unverified personal account is that there are limits for sending (for online purchases) and withdrawing (asking a cheque or taking it to your bank account) money from you paypal account. Unverified personal account has a sending limit of $100, and Withdrawing limit of $500 per month and $3000 Total (please check if they have made any changes for this) If you have started to earn real good money from internet then its time to verify your paypal account with a credit card, but if you are not doing any online business its better not to upgrade your paypal account to premium or business account. You can withdraw your paypal money to your bank account by providing the IFSC No. (Indian Financial service code) of the branch or your bank account and money will be deposited in your bank account in 7 days. The fee is Rs.50 for withdrawal below Rs.7000 and no fee is charged for withdrawal above Rs. 7000. There are lot of sites online which accepts paypal, you can even purchase from ebay using your paypal account (provided the ebay seller accepts paypal mode of payment) I have had a case of paypal holding my money, i think such problems happen when you have a business or premium account with paypal. What do i do with the money i receive from mylot??? well i'm accumulating the money to buy a Nitro Car.

hi 98765m, of course you can use your money from paypal if it is an unverified account. i have been using an unverified account with paypal for years. i use my money from mylot to buy imaginary gas for my imaginary car! lol, kidding because i made 0ne dollar so far. verifing your account links it to your bank account and i really would take caution! be careful out there my friend!
