Why Longevity???

I just saw today MSNBC's headline, which states that the scientists are trying to unlock the aging's secret. When you're old, you'll start to suffer from various diseases, the one I afraid most is Parkinson. You'll start to forget something, then everything. You'll walk extremely slow... like my great-grandmother who is 95 years old and still alive now. She needs a lot of help to do daily activities, such as peeing. wearing clothes, and even walking.
So, my point is, since you already know that being old will have such difficulties, why even bother to live for a longer period?! Well, if the Longevity pills which they created can change the age of a person to a younger age, that's even better than lengthen the living period of a person. Which do you prefer most: become young again, live longer and suffer till the end of your time, or like a normal human being, live normal and died when you are suppose to???

Live longer and healthier is what we wish we can. If one is health conscious, I think one can live longer and healthy. Of course, all those old age related disease is something we might not be able to avoid. We can 'delay' it with looking after ourselves well when we are young. For me, I like to live normal and die peacefully when the time come.
