have you ever made an invention or had a great idea to make a product?

I have and many times over after i didn't do anything about producing the idea or make the product I would later on find it on the shelf of a store. A day late and a dollar short is my life story. Now I have designed a new idea that i have done a lot of research on and so far have not found anywhere and i have even asked others if they have heard of it before and the contractors in home building hasn't ever heard of it either. So i am now trying to figure out how to get the extra money to build a prototype to have the design tested and built for production. I may even build them myself at first to sell on internet and start it off that way until I know it will be a big selling idea.Do you have any suggestion on how I can get this project started?

I am sorry I can't be much help...I can tell you to go for it and good luck...I have been in your shoes.Think of a great ideal just to have some one else take off with it before me...so go for it.Research it here on the web I am sure you will find a way:)

Thank you for the confidence. I created several things that later i would see on the shelf because someone else beat me to the draw. for example have you ever seen those weedeaters with the plastic blades on them I actually made one as a project for my own use and it worked great and was going to see about selling the idea to only later see it on every shelf they sold lawn parts and products.Yep right now I could be a rich man LOL the old saying should have, could have, would have....
