Step on a crack, break your mother's back!

Do you remember this little rhyme from when you were a kid in the school playground? We used to have paving slabs and the idea was never to step on a crack in between two. Easy when you were concentrating, but eventually your concentration would slip, you'd forget to watch your step .... and suddenly everyone would be yelling that rhyme at you!! It must have made some impression on me as even today I find myself stepping firmly in the squares of paving slabs, even if it means altering my stride. Of course I don't beleive that my mother is going to come to any harm if I don't, but it must have become so ingrained that it's a part of me now. Do you still do anything daft like this that's a reminder of your childhood? .... and are you brave enough to step on a crack! ;-)
