Woman finds 8-foot alligator in her Florida kitchen

Normally I would find a cat in my kitchen. Cats would normally make their way to my kitchen looking for some leftovers. However, this lady found an alligator in her kitchen.
Sandra Frosti says the gator must have pushed through the back porch screen door and then went inside through an open sliding glass door at her home in Oldsmar, just north of Tampa. It then apparently strolled through the living room, down a hall and into the kitchen.
A trapper with Animal Capture of Florida removed the alligator, which was cut by a plate that was knocked to the ground during the chaos. But no one inside the house was injured.
How would you react to that?

I heard about that around 6:20 AM on the news. I was in the next room and I heard it lol. I didn't know you could call 911 for things like that, but I guess you can if you believe your life could be in danger. Of course I think I would call Animal Control, but maybe the woman didn't feel like taking that chance if she had to look around for the number.

wow that would be scary. I could not imagine what I would do if I found an alligator in my house. I do however so want to move to Florida, alligators and all.

That would be really scary. I don't know how I would react. After finding something like that in the kitchen everytime I walked in there I would be making sure to look around before I walked in the kitchen.

Whoa! Seeing a live 8-foot alligator inside your kitchen would be scary. A gigantic alligator is something that you would not normally see inside a kitchen. I have to say that if it was me in that woman's shoes, my initial reaction to this situation was to yell at the top of my lungs and run for my life. I will ask for help from my neighbors immediately. I would really be in a total shock. I wonder how did an 8-foor alligator get inside your kitchen. Is it really possible that the creature might have sneaked through the back porche screen door?
