A language genius!!

I have a friend who comes from Germany,I find him a really
genius in learning language.He has been here just 10 weeks
and he has never learnt chinese before he came here.But by
now,he can communicate with us although the sentences he uses are simple.If I were him,I can not do such a good job.What about you?Do you think you have language talent?

That is amazing, I could not pick a language up that quickly. In school I used to hate languages, I used to do French, Spanish and German but you know I passed the exam with flying colours, but I was just glad to see the back of it all. I definately do not have a language talent.
