I think it is a art of making plant dwarf. It is originated in japan. Now this art is spreaded all over the world.
My Personal view on bonsai I really didn't like it.
Bonsai actually restrict the growth of plant. If some body restrict our growth how do we will feel.My feeling is similar for tree. After all Tree is a living object.

Thanks for sharing.
It's right to say that. You are sensitive and seem to be very kind. I never plant it myself ...just buy some to care for...I feel like I look after my chidren though they are small plant. Spaying water everyday and look close to them make us happy...lol
Sorry for my poor English.

I like bonsai's. Actually my mother gave me some seeds for christmas and a beautiful planter. To my surprise they have sprouted. Would love to learn more to care for and prune the tree from others with bonsai's.

Thanks for sharing.
You don't have to use much money on it.You can use any containers you like ( I hope you understand what I like cause my English is bad...hehehe )
The best time to wire a tree is in spring or fall.
Hope your wish will come true one day...the owner of the big BONSAI garden.

I love them. I had one years ago but my dog completely destroyed it whilst a puppy! I was absolutely gutted. They take years of patience and grooming! I will get one again one day but am waiting now until the kds are older so there are definately no unfortunate accidents!

Hi Oandee,
I love bonsai too, we have sort of the same problem, I could easily grow them but I couldn't seem to shape it right. I have one grown, well actually its at the wrong place at the time so I move it, try if I could do bonsai and she's on her third year now.
Welcome to myLot Oandee and happy posting.
