Why traffic accidents are common in almost every country ?

Traffic accidents now-a-days are common.Why this is occurring ?Because the people are unaware of the traffic rules or the number of traffic is increasing.I don't think so.I feel that now-a-days people have become impatient and reckless and ony reach their destination in a hurry.I know the speed limit varies in different countires but still in the 21st century,through modern technologies we can prevent this.What's your opinion ?

Hello,GOSWAMY! There many causes for road accidents now a days.the prominent among those is careless driving by the young drivers,they don't mind for the speed,they are driving while talking over mobile phone and hearing music.some drivers are driving cars and bikes in drunken stage for which they cause accidents.besides the number of vehicles have increased manifold,but no improvement of the roads have been made.all these factors are responsible for more accidents now a days.thanx.
