my couison is 6 months old and i am worried about the things he is not doing for example he lays very still when you put him down, he does not reach for any toys, he only seems to use his left arm, he does'nt roll over or sit up and he feels very ridgid when you hold him.

Take it back to the shop and ask for a refund.

hmmm Some children have a slower learn ablity then others. Some will do things at diffrent ages..but am concern about using only one arm and ridgedness...I do not want to sound bad but is the partents aware of this and maybe the child needs to see a doctor to make sure the arm is not been broken or might have a displacement...if you pick up a child when they are young the wrong way..you can break a bone easy as the bones are still becoming strong. Also easy to pull childs arm out of sock when they are young... Please have this child taken in and examed ....

Definately take him to the doctor imediately. There are just to many things that could be wrong. Early diagnosis my be critical to his development. Please don't wait he is depending on you.

I think it better to call his pediatrician and have doctor look at your cousin and get referral to other specialist for the your cousin. It better to get it check before it get worse.

Have you mentioned to his mom that this out of developmental sync? Does he sleep predominetly on one side? Could be cuttting off the proper circulation needed for the other arm to function. He may not be reaching for things because his vision may be impaired..there are so many factors. Doctors are supposed to check these things during their well baby check...but not all are that observant and the parents, especially if this is their first born don't know that things are not going as they should... and will say all is fine. If he hasn't had them or the next one is not soon..I would advise his mom to take him and ask for neuro check and referral to a peidartic neurologist if the neuro check is not satisfactory. There are plenty of free or low cost clinics at Children's Hospitals or health centers designed just for this if the parents do not have the resources to pay. Though some can have a lengthy wait. FYI for you and any other parent...I learned that if I couldn't get my child in without a long wait for specialists..to call aily and see if there were any cancellations. They tell you they will call you if there are..but with so many patients to deal with they can't really do so..be persistant..it works!

Has the baby had his 6 month check up yet? He should have had at least 3 doctor's visits by now, what has the doctor said about his development?

Please get this child to a pediatric neurologist for a evaulation. He should be moving all arms and legs and wiggling all around. This not normal for this age group.
