Does your sister try to use you?

Mines does. When I ask her to do a favor for me, she always has an excuse. But when she needs me for something, she expects me to come through for her. She only calls when she needs something, 95% of the time. I love her. She is my youngest sister, but I don't want her to treat me like I am a stepping stone. Help?!!

Hi cream97! I do not have a sister because I am the only daughter. However, I have a sister-in-law who is like that. Whenever she needs something, she is very sweet but when I am the one who needs to ask a favor, she also has so many reasons why she can't do it. What I did is to put my foot down. I gave her a dose of her own medicine by giving her the same reasons she is giving me when she asked me for something and I didn't asked any help or favor from her. It kinda worked because she is very accomodating and helpful now. Just my thoughts dear friend! Take care and have a nice day!

Yes, that what I will do. Give her a taste of her own medicine. From now on, when she calls me, I will not answer my phone. I will talk to her when I feel like it. I have done this. I guess she figures since I am her sister, I will give her what she wants. But sorry it does not work that way.

i have a sister like that she is older then and so foolish sometime i think i should have been the oldest but then again no i don't becuz she is only my have sister but she is backwards one she seems to tend to her friends which aren't really her friends mores so then her family more the chic got mad issues but she will be alright she only deal with her family including her children only when it benefit her she uses people if she want something she becomes so sweet until she get whatever it is she want and then she is right back to being the b she always is

My oldest sister is that way. She always needs someone to do something for her or a favor of one sort or another. She never calls me but does my little sister on a regular basis. Sometimes I think we just have too much history between us to ever really be friends. I really don't have any advice for you except maybe point it out to her....or make a special attempt to call her or set up a time for you two to just get together without her initiating it because she needs something from you.

This seems harsh but you just have to stop. It will probally hurt. Or if you dont want to face her dont answer. Or make up a excuse why I you cant help her. I have this problem with my sister. Shes 18 a huge partier, wont finsish school is very promescious and is just unpleasant. She always wants something. If I dont give it to her she will cuss me out etc. But shes corny nice when she wants something. I've gotten to the point where I just say no. Half the time I dont pick up the telephone. But also we are like night and day.
Please dont be a door mat for someone to walk all over you!
