First off would matter what race he is but it isn't a crime that would merrit a long jail time. He tried to steal it and didn;t so a nice big fine would be good and a warning. If he tries again give him 30 days and double the fine.

you right about the part when you said dont matter but wouldn't? i mean the government is racist its harder on those that aren't caucasion than those who are.

i think thats a great idea i mean what can he do with a street sign? were can he put it? what can he accomplish by taking it? plus the area he was in has a lot of police around. i'm in that area everyday and i see at least five cop cars walking two blocks.

why did he steal it? trying to find the reason behind it first. was it a college prank for school? for a scavenger hunt? or initiation test? make the man do community service or a small fine. maybe even both. that should be enough.

This is really silly. why would that man do this? O_o It really annoys me when people do that. Here in Canada, we have a small bus shelter and it's very usefull when there is a snowstorm or when it's raining. When I came, it was totally destroyed. The man who stole the stop is a situation of vadalism. They should be given a fine to repay the damage and go to work , school or get busy with life.
