While searching for your ideal online money maker, do you ever find yourself worried that on some sites you will need to pay your taxes yourself, yet they do not let you know that until it's too late?
I worry that if I was to sign up for a program, read their faq's and general information about the program, and then start working on it... I would soon find out that I must complete a W9... I am not concerned about filling this form out, rather that the website will not be truthful, and will lead people to believe that it is totally free... with no costs to you.

Initially I did not worry much about taxes to be frank enough but now I'm more careful towards my accounts. I also check website T.O.S regarding payments and taxes. As an international member, I am told to handle the tax affair all by myself as per the rules prevailing in my country. So, you can say in that way I'm lucky. However, in your case, you need to be more cautious in order to avoid very much undesired situation. Taxmen do not learn to spare anyone, and it is true in every country - I suppose.

It is absolutely correct. For me I'm already enough disturbed by different other problems, and the last thing that could happen to me is a notice from Tax Department. So, I take care of it a lot.

It is better to look at it, especially if you are dealing with international waters. It's much easier to do that then to find out later what you were doing was illegal, smuggling money, even if that wasn't your intention. That's how scams work

It is s good thing to check all of the information that the website provides for you, but I do know that some people do not. Including myself, I do hate to admit. I am cautious in the aspect of if it's not clear to me, I don't worry about it... I don't join the site.
Taxmen are very prompt and do not spare anyone, this is true. I do not want to get into any tax troubles.

I am talking more in reference to those that are legit in that they do ask for a W9 form to be filled out, and that the manner in which they word their information seems to be proper.
I would also worry that I could find myself in a lot of trouble if I was to lie on a form of that caliber. Lying on information such as your address and email information would be fine as long as the form to which you are filling the information out is in no way referencing to a form that is of legal precedence

No ofcourse not, and due action should be wrought against the websites creator and maintainer. It's best if you understand what is and isn't a scam, and what the proper way a website is allowed to ask for tax information. I am uncertain of any organization that could help to clarify the scams and what is legal and what is not
