Could you live without A cell phone, Tv, ect. Are we to spoiled by these things?

Do you think our society is to spoiled by having all the things we have these days? Cell phones, Tvs, computers, the Internet. Just things that are in our everyday lives that we think we need. What would you do if something happened and those thing were gone for some reason?

I for one could not live without my cell phone. It is my life line. Along with TV and Computers. Yes in a way we are spoiled. But we are in the day and age that we need this technology. Alot of places couldn't run if there were no cell phones, computers, internet as everything is now done with them. If you really think about it if we didn't have this technology we would have to get rid of hog farms, cattle farms, vehicles, airplanes etc etc. It would be a sad sad world to have all this taken away. In reality you have to think if we lost all this technology all the things we are losing.

Then we wouldn't be able to have planes, trains, automobiles as they are all done on computers. The whole system for these things are done with the technology of some sort of computer. If we are not becoming dependent on these things we are losing alot more and we will notice a change in life. No planes, no boats, no vehicles, no gas pumps etc etc. The list is endless. How would you deal with all these things gone?

I would deal the same way they did back before these things existed, Its scary to me that were so dependent on these things, its nice to have them but people think OMG if I didn't have my cell phone what would I do???? I dont have a car of my own right now so I know I can survive without one as much as it sucks if there were no cars theres horses lol. And I dont understand why you say we wouldnt have hog farms and cattle farms and all that when they were around before all the things I'm talking about. they used to hire people to milk the cows or it was a family thing. I just think like I said that people are to dependant on it Me included but its still scary cause the more dependent on it we are the more the government can control us to.

Yes but what if something happened and all those things didn't or couldnt work anymore? Cause its completely possible. I think we should enjoy these things but we shouldn't become so dependent on them.

I know I'm on my Internet most of the day. I'm reliant on it like you but I just wonder what the world would be like without it....It might be kinda nice.....all these things create are more bills a lot of people cant afford.

I really like technology but it has a way of taking away our skills to communicate in a normal face to face situation.
I get a real kick out of some of tbese kids walking around chatting on their cell phone unconscious of that is going on around them. They will be in with a small group of friends and chatting on their phones! I am an adult and don't see the need for a cell phone that much!
Do you think young people lack the social skills adults have becuase of the internet and cell phones?

I do think that we're all spoiled with electronics these days. Almost everything we can do in our community is available through the internet. Our kids are even finding video games more interesting than playing outside with their friends. I think if we set aside certain times to exclude these from our lives.. we'd have better relationships with our families.

ill have to admit i dont know what i would do if i couldnt have my laptop like i use it everyday ,since i got it i barely watch TV , i think alot of people could go without TV cause theres nothing important on than the Local News anyway and my Cell phone its like my third hand , i always check it

I love my laptop to and I dont watch much tv eather lol, I am online most of the time I work online and all that to so It would be very hard to live without but I think I would manage.

Well if they were just gone one day I would have to cope, you would learn to live without them the same as we have learned to live with them over the years.
I wouldnt miss my mobile or tv that much I could cope id read more instead but I would miss my internet!

I cant stand TV anymore with all the things they have on there, we dont have cable so I dont care about TV really except for watching the news. the Internet I have lived without before so I know I can do that and as far as cell phones I had one for so long and I loved it but now that I dont have it anymore I love not having it!! I can only be contacted when I want to be I dont have people getting mad at me cause they know I'm ignoring there call cause they know I have my phone ON me all the time lol.
