Friends, here in Mylot I found that some members post discussion in a very large size. I mean discussion with more than 30-35 lines. As all of us know we all are busy and we may have to spent little bit time to read all those stories/prefaces of the discussion and after reading all those stories we may have nothing to respond too. I regret that, that is a waste of our time. I hope your comments/response on the subject may clear my doubt that whether you like to respond to large discussions or small discussions with sense start with by others?

If it is interesting I will read it and comment if I have anything relevant to say.
The ones I do avoid are those that are written in one huge paragraph of like 60 odd lines with not one full stop or even a comma. Those make me want to remove my eyeballs, although I have bad sight so this doesnt help but man it makes me feel like I should read it without taking a breath!

You are so right Kezzy!!! Even if its interesting I cannot go through it all without some line breaks in between. And I am a stickler for punctuation, so if in reading I feel like I can't take a breath, I'm not going to finish it either.

To be honest with you, it totally depends on how the discussion has been written. If in the first couple of lines I am grabbed by it then I will read it but if it loses me in the first couple of lines then I just cannot go any further. On the whole I do prefer short, sweet and straight to the point discussions that make sense and are interesting.

For me it all comes down to the interest of the subject. If I am only mildly interested in the subject, you may lose me before I get to the end of the discussion. On the other hand, if its something that I am truly interested in, I will read the discussion in its entirety and respond. I guess the thing for me is, if you are going to make a discussion that long, it better be interesting enough to keep my attention.
