I feel that we need to have a younger Indiana Jones for the young generation. What do you think?

Nah, I think Harrison Ford is perfect for the role of Indy, as Natrak said: No one could ever replace him and his charm.

I actually like Harrison Ford acting as Indiana Jones. The look of him reminds me of Indiana Jones.

How old are you??? I 'met' Han Solo when I was 3, and he has been with me throughout my life. He could get back in his Millennium Falcon and shoot the Imperial forces right out of the sky just as good as he did 30 years ago. As for Indiana Jones- same thing. Harrison Ford is like Chuck Norris. Non-stoppable. You silly, silly man, some people will live forever!!

No I was watching good morning america and it said that he still fits into the orginal outfit. Which tells me he is in shape and good health, So I see nothing wrong with him filling this role.

No i feel that with them using the same person to act will help fans come watch the movie more so i think it's a good idea no matter what anyone else says.

He may be too old (which I'm not saying) but they better not replace him with another actor. The only way I can forsee them having a different actor is having a movie with him when he is younger like in school or just getting out of school. But that is it. If someone just tries to replace him, I would definately guess that that movie would tank! If it's not broke, don't fix it.

He is a good actor and did his best in the new Indiana Jones movie but I really have my doubts whether he should play the hero type of actor at his age. © ronaldinu 2008

It all depends on the film. The last ones were supposedly dated around the 1940 and were made s. If this film is dated the same number of years from the time Harrison Ford made the last film? Also it depends on how fast Harrison Ford ages. He might look younger than his real age. Just because someone is over a certain age does not mean that their mind has gone and they cannot act. Besides I hate it when they switch actors when they are playing one particular character.

Well, warrenbrown. I am conflicted in this discussion about Harrison Ford possibly being too old to play Indiana Jones. On the one hand, I don't think anybody else can be Indiana Jones. However, a new similar character could be introduced and the "torch passed" so to speak for more Indiana Jones-like adventures and movies to be made. I will say that after seeing Harrison Ford in the latest Indiana Jones movie--Indiana Jones and the Legend of the Crystal Skull, it appears he does not really enjoy acting anymore. He just seemed sluggish and his acting was "flat", sort of. Even so, he'll always be Indiana Jones to me. I think the young man that played in this newest film could take over a similar role very easily in the future. Take care. PearlGrace

I think he is. I think harrison ford needs to realize his days as an action hero are pretty much over. Sean Connery let other people play James Bond. I like Harrison Ford and think he is a good actor but he is like 60 something.

No, definitely not!! When I think of Indiana Jones, I think of Harrison Ford. It would be too weird if someone else were to play that role. Also, I just went and saw the movie a few hours ago and I say that Harrison Ford has still got it.

Oh Please! First of all, Harrison Ford IS Indiana Jones! BA HA HA HA Secondly... Just who would you suggest they replace him with? Seriously, Indiana Jones is a college professor who has traveled the world over for years in hunt for treasures. Now you want to replace a man that fits the role prefectly with a young guy. Oh sure, that is believable... Honestly, they change actors for the role, the series is doomed! Harrison Ford is THE Indiana Jones. Noone can replace him. DO NOT read below this line if you have NOT already seen the latest movie. However, if you have already seen Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, then you know Indy and Marion have a teenage son. I could a some point see their son taking over the role as the main character in the movie, but NEVER to be Indiana Jones. Thanks for reading, Nocturnica

In my opinion, there is only one Indiana Jones and Harrison Ford is it! However, they say he might have a son in this movie do you might get your wish like "Star Trek The Next Generation" which continues a familiar story.

They moved the story on into the 50's so that Ford's age matched the age that Indiana Jones would have been. I think that this is a very good way of dealing with the age thing and also that it would not have been the same if they had tried to do another "Indie" movie using another actor. It's Harrison Ford's role and no - one else's.

I have not intention of seeing the movie - I have out grown it. Actually I liked the first one, but the next 2 were just not as good - the action was so overwhelming, it kind of took away from the story. But it startled me yesterday when I was listening to the news about the movies opening this week and they were talking about it being the 18 years since the last "crusade". I thought "18 years!! Surely not!" But later that night some cable channel had all three of the previous ones on and the last one was in 1989, second one was 1984 and I didn't get the date of the first one - but good grief - 18 years since the last one and there has been so much "talk" about them all in that time that it didn't seem like that long ago! Talk about time flying!!! I think also, that they need to stop on squels after 3. So far, except for the "family Vacation" with Chevy Chase, (and Eurpoe wasn't that great) that is the only one that has stood the test of hte multiple sequel. Jaws, the first 2 were really good, but 3 and 4 and wasn't there a 5 - those were pretty stupid. So I think they just need to stop after 3. But then again, the Star Wars ones went on for a few turns.

Indiana jones is a character which is very hard to play.To enact the main thing required is experience and perfection which only harrison ford posseses.
