I feel that when we are sad and we cry we do drain away our negative emotions and hurt feelings. Crying help us to heal. What do you think?

Cry does help me heal and helps take away my worries and fears. A lot of times I cry when I am praying to God, it helps get the emotion out.

Yes. Sometimes it does. LIke I can remember breaking up with someone and putting on sad music just to cry and get it all out. I do think for the most part it does help us heal.

i think that crying is a good release for whatever is bothering you. as a teenager, when i became really stressed out, i would try to find ways to make myself cry. i know that it may sound strange, but it was better than breaking stuff! :)

When scientists analysed the chemical make-up of tears, they discovered that the reason why we are crying is related to the toxins in our blood. For example_ tears of pain have different chemicals than tears of shame. That's why crying makes us feel better. It carries away an overload of toxins in our system.

Crying produces hormones that soothe us, so I guess in a way it does drain negative feelings. It does help us heal.

Yes, I agree that crying helps to heal. So does walking, and often I do both together if I'm upset. I love to be at one with nature and I like to cry alone when I'm really upset. I think it gets things out of your system. Brightest Blessings.

Yeah i think there is a limit to how much you can cry or allow yourself to be hurt by others. I think it is good to listen to our own emotions even if you dont want anyone else to know, it is needed to move on from pain.

Most of us, crying is a weakness, but it's not. For me, people who cried is more braver because they can accept the fact that they cannot changed and they can express their feelings. Yes, it can heal us from our pain. We cannot have a rainbow without a rain, right? Crying reveals your pain and emotion inside you that making a pressure. If you don't let it out inside you, you will feel really down. Me? Everytime I'm sad or there's so much pressure inside me, I always let it out and cry, after that everything is ok. You will feel much better like the rainbow after a strong rain.

I think you are right to a point. Sometimes all I need is a good long hard cry to get over a rough spot. But just as healing as a good cry is a gut busting, fall on the floor, pee your pants laugh. I'm not sure which is more healing, it just depends on the circumstance.

I think that having the occational cry is cleansing. Sometimes I just have too much to deal with and crying for a while helps get the worst of the negativity out so that later I can deal with the problems rationally.

depression is overloading the mind with multiple thoughts or pressures, that the mind or brain cannot able to withstand..so we burst out in depression and tension.

I completely agree with your views. Crying does help us relieving ourself and it help us in expressing our pent up emotions. One feels lighter, cool and calm after crying and it is the best thearpy to shed negative or unwanted emotions.

I never experience so sad till I cry, all I remember is that, when I'm sad or having bad emotion, I will watch movie of my interest or listening to music, then go to sleep. When I wake up the next morning, everything is just fine. My emotion and feelings come back to happy and cheering mood. :)

Tears cleanse the soul. Yes tears are healing. I usually have a headache after crying, but it goes away soon, and the peace I feel after a good cry is worth a little headache.
