What's the story with the baby?

Lol I have seen little to indicate that anything in the cartoon should make sense in anyway. In fact, I believe it is a bit of a joke among the staff. In the episode where peter starts his own country it ends with a person in the future showing it as a film and one of the future people asks "Yeah I have a question. Can everyone understand the baby or what?" (or something to that effect)In the end it depends on whether or not they want the rest of the family to understand him or not as is dictated by the plot. Stewie is gay...kinda. It is a running joke and it is implied that he will be gay when he is older and has gay tendencies now, but it mostly depends on whether they need it for a joke or episode or not. And Brian is...well he is a talking dog. What do you want lol Dan

umm.. its a cartoon.. thats why the dog can talk and the baby can talk, and having been an avid fan of family guy for years.. i dont know of any refferences to stewie being gay. o.O BLAST!

Welcome to Family guy!! Stewie talking - The dog always hears him. From what I can see the others don't acutally hear words, maybe sounds - like what you would hear from a baby in "real"life. Is Stewie gay? That is undeterminded. They have never said yes or no but do make referance to it often. I think if you want him to be gay he is if you rather him not be thats fine too. Its the use your imanigation part of the cartoon. Brian talking - Well Stewie needs some one to talk to. And Brian is Peters best friend. Plus Brian is the most intellagent person in the house.
