I hear talk of food shortages, due to bad politics and bad weather. I hear the prices of food is spiking all over the place. Sam's Club, Costco, and Wal-mart, have already started limiting the amount of rice one can purchase per visit. Some of these places have also limited the amount of flour also. I am surprised because this seems to have come on all of a sudden. But at the same time, my Bible does promise famine in the land. This is merely a sign of the times. I am not really afraid of a famine and neither should any of the other people who know how to trust God. The Bible says that he is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So the same God who has been providing for me all of my life, will continue to perform what he promised he would. If you don't know the Lord as your personal Savior, this may be a good time to call on him. He is such a good and faithful father for those who trust in him. All you have to do is ask him to forgive you of all your sins and come into your heart and save you. You need to believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died on the cross and was raised again, that you might have eternal life in heaven. No one knows exactly everything that the future holds, but when you are God's child, there is no need to worry. Simply put you trust in him.

Hello,Rozie! Actually the world is going through hard days.everywhere there is cry of food shortage.the earth is gradually losing its productivity as the climate is just not friendly for agriculture.for the eretic behavior of climate we the people are responsible.we have reduced the size of the forests which has caused uneven rains on this earth.we have reduced the lands under agriculture.the agricultural lands are put to nonagricultural uses.some lands have been diverted for establishment of big industries, for irrigation projects and more lands are also diverted to dwelling purposes as the population is growing at a faster rate.so the food crisis has made its headway and the prices of all commodities have increased manifold in these days.the lower section of the population are experiencing lots of trouble for this.and if the situation continues unabated for a longer period then lots of people would die of starvation.the time has come now for the world organisations to find out ways to feed the teeming millions.thanx.

Do you believe that this food shortage has anything at all to do with the war in Iraq?

Hello,Rozie! the present food shortage crisis has no relation with politics or war with Iraq.actually we are running shortage of food stuffs since 2005.but this year because of climate change the production of agricultural commodities have fallen significantly.it is not only in America but all over the world the situation is grim.we shall have to wait till a good harvest in the current year.thanx.

All the problems in the world are kinda scary to me right now. Gas prices, the environment, food shortage, war. They are signs though and people need to recognize them. Put it all in the Lord's hands and there will be nothing to worry about because we will be taken care of.

The only thing that concerns me is that so many people are not aware of what is really going on in the world. Every major thing that happens causes the world to pause for just a moment, but then they go back to life as usual. As if nothing happened.

Hi Rozie dear! I really don't know if we are headed toward famine and hunger; although it has been in the news all over the world. Our country has been experiencing shortage of rice and price hikes in all commodities. However, I do trust in God and I believe that He will never forsake me and He will make a way for me and for all of us when there seems to be no way. Just my thoughts dear friend! Take care and have a nice day!
