my daughter is scared to death

last night she woke up screaming her head off. that day at school they had something called code rouge, wich in english i guess would be like a red alert. anyway they locked themselves in a room and had to be really quiet and learned that this is what they do when a bad person comes in the school. she's only 4 and it must have freaked her out cause she had a dream last night that a man had her by the arm and was pulling her away from me and she couldn't get away from him. i know the school has to practice these things but it really scares the little kids

That is so sad because children are suppose to grow up with their innocense in tact but with the way things are now, the kids lose their innocense at such an early age. Bless her sweet little heart!

Poor thing! It is something that they have to teach the kids I know, but it seems like maybe they were a little insensitive in the approach they took. I hope that it does not have a lasting effect on her. I would hate for her to be afraid all the time because of a school safety drill.
