Does anyone watch soaps anymore?

I am sitting here at this moment watching Days of our lives with my MIL. She is visiting with us and it's on right now at 11:00 pm! Of course I am going to let her watch it, she's my guest. But, I have to admit that soaps are pretty bad. If you must know, Stefano had taken John Black's memory and JB doesn't know himself right now. Tacky! The things I do for the ones I love.

LOL My mom still watches Days. When I get off of work it is still on. Every now and again I will flip it on. I still get a kick out of how you can watch the show, then skip a month and still know what is going on.

Isn't that funny! I guess there are a lot of new characters and there are also a lot of new actors/actresses for old characters. Actually, I think there are old characters that have returned!

I never liked soap operas like Days of Our Lives in the first place lol. However when i was in Spain, the television was all Spanish programs and i must admit i took joy in knowing that i didnt need to know spanish to understand the Soap Opera!

I do watch Days of our Lives if I am home. It is quite crazy right now. It is nice of you to let her watch it.

Stefano? He is still alive? Bummer. He was the villain of Days when I watched it way back in the 80's! used to watch soaps all the time. I would get home from highschool and watch them.But along the way they either started storyline I didn't like or was not interested in seeing so I left. I started watching Mexican soaps instead, They were fun And they had a beginning, middle and a end. But I haven't seen a Mexican soap lately.

yeah i do. i watch the soaps that come on cbs. i watch them everyday. if i am not going to be home i will record them.

Actually. I think it was rude of your friend to take over the TV and make you watch something you thought was tacky. Guest or not, she should have been more considerate of you. You must be a very thoughtful person!

Yes I do watch soaps and my all time favorite is Days of Our Lives. I just got done watching it at 11pm also on Soapnet. I watch it every night! I used to watch Passions too but I quit watching because it got pretty boring. I have been watching Days for over 20 years now. :)
