After one day's hard work, is there always one question waiting for you "What to eat for dinner?" sometimes ago, I and my hubby often eat at canteen of the company, but after many times, we feel that every kinds of food seem to have similar taste. We dicided to cook for ourselves then. It turned out that cooking is not a easy thing. There are so many things to do: Buying the staff, washing the vegetables, cooking, washing the dishes, cleaning the table... Sometimes, I feel tired, but, in any way, we can eat healthful and tasty foods now.
What about you?

I am normally the one who cooks, although sometimes my mum does also. We're both really great cooks, if I do say so myself, and absolutely love to do it.
And luckily, with the three of us living here (my mum, boyfriend and I), there is always someone else to help with preparation and cleaning if needs be =D

hello meetinspring!
since i love to cook and i dont work i do all the cooking 90% except at weekends coz that is our date day so we try to enjoy a different food and enjoy the moment just being outside. we dont have a preference really but we often go to CPK coz we enjoy the service there and if we want mexican we just go to Moe's and split some food.
we agreed that we will just split our meal so we save money and at the same time watch our weight haha.
btw, it is true that if you keep seeing and tasting the same food even just the place - they tend to smell and taste ALL the same.
i said this coz when we were in china we are having a hard time eating out coz the food taste like one.
i think the most we eat out there is mcdonalds and kfc, haha not anymore out here though LOL
takecare!

haha, not really im still in the process of learning and exploring.
i feel the fact that i am not working and we are both at home makes our schedule easier plus we are trying to save for the future that is why we agreed that we will just enjoy outside meals during weekends.
i understand what it is like changing the plan right after you have done all the preparation. i do tried not to get use to that coz i know i do get the frozen meat and thawed it and i cannot freeze it back coz it is not healthy so i tried to warn him LOL!
yes, we live in china for 5yrs (consider it straight coz i only come home once and it is only like 4 months), we love the food there in the very beginning, enjoy it maybe for 2 years but i guess afterwards you will like, hmmmmmm,,, anything else? LOL
and it is not easy to cook the meal you want coz most of the ingredients is not there, you're lucky if you live in shanghai coz at least they have more choices but if you live to areas were foreigners are very few then that's the worst part, beijing is not that bad but still they dont have most of what you want.
anyway, enjoy your tgif and weekends too.
takecare!

hello jairgirl.
You must be a good cook. And it seems that you have a good schedule. We often can't stand to our plans. Sometimes we got the stuff out of the refrigerator in advance for cooking the next meal, but when we were back from work, feeling tired or lazy, we would change idea to eat outside and have to put the stuff back again.
You said you've been to China. I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy the various and delicious Chinese foods. Maybe you aren't accustomed to eating them.
Good weekend and Enjoy your dating day!

I live away from my mother's home so my Mama can't cook for me, just when I'm home. And in my apartment, we're not allowed to cook so I have to take food out from some food chain but normally I eat downstairs. We do have a small canteen in our building located at the groundfloor so I just eat my meals there.

Hi, MGjhaud.
That's convenient for you! Whenever you're hungry, you can just go downstairs and eat. And since you aren't allowed to cook, you don't have any trouble with the cooking thing. Great!

oh yes it is not easy. my wife is always having problems on what to cook everyday. it is more complicated right now because we have a two year old son so if she thinks something to cook it has to be for the whole family. she writes down what to cook for a week then we go to supermarket and buy what she needs. i know this is tiring for her and we show we appreciate it by finishing what we have on our plates. well specially me for my son is still young so he does not eat that much. i dont know how to cook but i know every eating time is a joyous one because my wife is a good cook.

Hello se7enthbird.
What a funny way you've put that! "appreciate it by finishing what we have on our plates" Haha. Your wife must be happy and full of accomplishment.
The kid in the photo must be yor two year old son. And he is playing computer? That's amazing!
My hubby didn't know how to cook at first and he would clean the dishes. Sometimes i'm tired and have to do the cooking, i would be annoyed. Now he can help more:)

I cook for myself,i'm living alone far away from home. Yes, i do have the same feeling that buying raw materials, washing, cooking, fry are very bothered and it takes time and energy to prepare all this. Sometimes when i'm lazy, i'd just buy biscuits and bread for a couple of days. And then i'd say to myself, you have to change, it's not a healthy way of life. You know, i'm alone, so cooking too much is not very wise, but too little just can't be cooked, the pan is there, it's that big. Carking.

hi,lynettebyc. Thank you for your response.
I used to cook 3-4 dishes for one meal, that's really a labor. Now, we make it easier, often 2 dishes a meal. Sometimes we just cook Jiaozhi or noodles with eggs and vegetable in, That's simpler and wouln't take much time. Hope you can take good care of yourself.
