Yes right it is virus or spyware that is loaded into your computer. you can remove it by using spybot search and destroy. Im not promoting this but this is the tool that I used when I'm repairing laptops and desktop that has important files in it. After I get rid off the spyware try downloading an anti virus, I recommend AVAST! its better than AVG. And it is Free you just need to register and the registration is also Free. Well I hope it solve your problem.

ctrl + alt + del .... There is a virus that disables some important software utilities like the taskmanager...
I think you should reformat your hard drive.....
That's the best way you can do......

With all due respect, reformatting the hard drive is the LAST thing you should do! In my 25+ years of IT experience I have only reformatted the hard drive to switch operating systems - unless I dual booted - or in the extreme case of Windows ME. This includes the days - many have never heard of or recall - in which technicians would low level format the HD to improve speed!
There is a LOT of misinformation out there but I have removed more than 30k strains of malware from a single computer without reformatting... it is a simple case of having the right tools. The Ultimate Boot CD for Windows is such a tool... packed with excellent tools, able to fix Window's maladies from outside of Windows, and FREE! Simply go to the website and download it, burn a copy, and familiarize yourself with the utilities BEFORE another situation arises in which you consider reformatting!
Best wishes.

Well, if the disable your taskmanager comes up then it might a 100% sure virus. Most of my college computer is infected with these types of viruses, And we all bothered with these viruses, All time we try to open task manager its got open and then automatically quits after some time.
So its better to first check and scan your computer with a reputed antivirus and if the problems remains unbeaten then try to format your pc again.
Cheers!!!
