what has been your biggest birthday bash to date? Was it your 21st? 40th? 50th?
Mine was my 21st. It was a 60s and 70s theme and everyone I knew was there. i partied from 5pm to 2pm the next day and had the best fun! Everyone was dressed up in costume and I saw people I hadn't seen in years.
Everything was decorated 60s style, there were hippies running around everywhere and the music was great. My mum and aunties prepared all the food and everyone had a great time.
So what was your biggest party?

Hi coffeeshot! That was one great party! Having a themed part is really fun and I do like those kind of parties that you have to dress up in another era. I really didn't have any big parties like that. The only one I do remember was my 18th birthday. We nave did have costumes just our regular casual attire of jeans but it was kinda fun because all of my friends were there. Just my thoughts dear friend! Take care and have a nice day!

I don't think I have ever had one. For my 21st, my family came to visit me at school and my friends and family had lunch at an all you can eat chinese place. Then, we did some shopping and came back to my apartment and had cake. I don't think people like me enough to throw a huge party and it's highly doubtful anyone would actually show up anyway. I'm not popular enough for that to happen.

Mine was my 21st. I had just recently been reunited with my mother after 12 years and her birthday was the day before mine. I was turning 21 and she was turning 40. We had a big barbecue which lasted for about 3 days. Everyone that she and her husband knew came.

Mine was my 50th. I am a very quiet person and while sociable, it is in small quiet settings. I don't do big loud parties with lots of people. I don't like attention so I've always been very clear to all...don't give me parties for me. I'll attend one...gulp...even a large one for someone else...just don't put the spotlite on me. Everyone has always respected that my entire life. On my 50th birthday my oldest daughter told me that she and her 3 sisters would like to take me to a show and to dinner. She even arranged with my boss for me to have the nite off. I was so looking forward to some time with my girls. Imagine my surprise when I walked into a room full of about 100 people. The song playing as I walked in the door was "hate me" by blue October. It was harsh. But once I recovered from the initial shock, I looked around and it was awesome. Friends, I hadn't seen in years had turned up. and my girls went thru so very much work for me...a day that i'll never forget. It was beautiful.

ps...she chose that song to be playing as I walked in because she knew my reaction was not going to be good.As I opened the door she hugged me and said "go ahead say it now and get over it and have a good time." I didn't say it and I did have a good time.

my biggest party would have to be my 21st
i had it at my friends place and there would of been around 80-100 people there. i started drinking at 3pm and finished at 3-4pm the next day
so i drank for over 24 hours straight. and i didnt spew once and i have never and probably never will drink as much as i did that night. it was a massive massive night.
the downer was cleaning up the house and back yard which took over a month to fully clean!

I guess my best one was when I reached 50 years of age.
My friends all got together and took me up to our local goth club for the night, and everyone was fully *gothed up* for the evening. I was blown away by the number of people who turned out for my birthday and was spoilt rotten with gifts and drinks.
The DJ played almost all my favourite tracks and I was up and dancing until the small hours around 3am. It was a great night and although I was knackered by the end of it, I loved every second of it.

I would say my 21st too. I spent it at a country bar with a band I loved and a bunch of friends and family. Did a tray of shots, got sick in the bathroom, and drank more after that. We partied until about 6am. That was the first and last time that ever happened. LOL

Sounds like your 21st was a blast, gee it went on for a long time.
My best party would have to have been my 13th, my mum hired a DJ and we had disco lights there aswell. All my friends came and we danced all night, it was great fun. My 21st would be the second best. Had a big party at my house, friends that I have not seen since I was a child were there, that meant alot to me. Also hearing the speech from my dad on how proud he was of me. It is not everyday where people do a speech about you, so I appreciated hearing what people had to say.

Mine was my 21st, my Mum & Dad ran a pub, and I also worked there and so I had a lot of friends. My parents and my friends all got together to throw a suprise party for me, I really did not have a clue, 2 of my friends took me out for the day to keep me out of the way and so I just had the biggest surprise. I also had the biggest embarrassment as they had booked a stripper and I was horrified!!

Morning Coffeeshot
Well since i was there for the 60's and 70's and already lived it..I can understand why you wanted a party of that kind.
My best was my 50th..I invited all my friends and then some to celebrate this big milestone.
I had over 100 people there and we all had such a good time..I only do BD's every tenth year..my 40th was great also!
The next one will be in 3 1/2 yrs since i will be 57 this year

that sounds like such a riot! I can not imagine the fun you and everyone else must have had.
I guess my actual biggest blast would have been when I was still a youth - we lived in panama canal zone and my mother gave the most wonderful parties for children.

I rarely get parties... usually, I'm the one giving them! But the best I had... I share a birthday with a brother-in-law, and when we went to his 50th birthday party, I found out it was for me, too! Instead of gifts, people pinned money to 2 trees in the yard, and we had tons of potluck food (our family specialties), and a HUGE cake... it was great!

Hi Coffeeshot.
My biggest was my 21st (way back when!) We used a local discotheque for the party as i was having a joing party with a friend of mine. My birthday is xmas eve and his was the end of November so we had the party at the beginning of December.. the disco was free to use as long as we had at least 250 guests.. i reckon between us we had about 400!! it was awesome, but then it was back in the 80's and all disco's were awesome then!!
I didnt have a 40th party as i was pregnant (hubby was taking me to New York for my 40th until i got the biggest surprise of my life - my baby boy haha).
I dont like to really be in the limelight so im not a big party fan, its fine as long as its someone elses, but its not for me!!

What a humongus party! I don't even come close to knowing that many people. You deserve a wonderful party like that. It sounds like it was great. I'm sorry you didn't get to come to New York, but I'm thrilled you had that precious boy! And then that precious girl!
