Legit Freelance Jobs, Do They Exist?

I know there are more scams out there than legit money making opportunities, but I know legit jobs are out there, somewhere. How do I find actual freelance or actual employment places to apply? I don't need a home business, I'm not looking to get rich, I'd just like to stop making payment arrangements for my power and water because my payday is after my due date. I'd like to be able to take my kids to Burger King and Baskin Robbins on some random Wednesday.
An extra 2-300 a month would be perfect. I'm a good worker, quick to learn, with plenty of time to sit and work. I just don't have the patience to wade through any more crappy scams. Yes, I admit it, I'm looking for the shortcut through the woods while bypassing the big bad wolf. Someone in this vast community has got to have a line on a way to find actual hiring companies.
I can't work outside the home for various reasons, so I'm looking outside the home in our virtual world. I'm not happy with the quality of my days, I need a bit more. I get tired of just sitting here watching tv, being non-productive.
Thanks in advance for any help, direction, advice.

What's the purpose of this program. I read through the site via your site, and listened to the video, but I'm still just as confused as before. What do you do for your business? Do I have sit through the conference call to find out? I like to know what I'm walking into, that way I understand the big picture more. I will check it out again and sign up.

Yes, I suggest you fill out the information box at the bottom of the website so I can get you in on a conference call. There is actually one later tonight, if you are interested. The call will explain the program in great detail. After you have listened, you can contact me with any questions!

Here's a database that has a few places where you can look for freelance opportunities: http://www.nojobformom.com/articles/tips/tools_search.shtml It includes a few sites for writers, web designers, coders.
Although it's not a comprehensive list, it can get you started in the right direction.
