Do you think it is a good time for investment in gold at this moment?

I invested in Gold since 1999 at a price of 258$/Oz,when I told then gold was a good investment for the longer term people thought I was crazy,how could you talk about a good investment on long term when the price of gold reached above 800$/oz in 1980 and did just one thing decline? I still owned that gold but I'm not that bullish yet,I think the next time we should stay in a range within 800-1000$/oz but one moment it should take a new direction,I expect that the most possible direction then is still up but the possibility that I should be wrong is bigger then in 1999.

hi nguyenthanhbinh2008.... no i don't recommend you to buy gold now the price is going up i recommend you buy blue chip stocks that are very oversold. and will realized its true value in the future. that will greatly increase your return of investments and minimize risk...buying gold now is very risky because its unpredictable... look for predictability of growth in the company the ROE and the book value of the company. A book value of lets say php30 per share and selling at php15 is definitely a bargain...compare to a stock with book value of php5 and selling at php15 i will treat gold like apple...would you buy an apple that is sold triple or double its market value? or would you buy an apple that is at discount rate? anyways...good luck for your investment decisions... I think the gold market is very unpredictable so can't say for sure.

I thought that gold prices were quite high at the moment because people see it as a safer investment compared to stocks.

yes it's definitely a good time to invest, but dont leave it too late as it was even better a month or two ago
