I don't really rush to the movies anymore. Now I only rush to see a movie if the trailers for it looks so interesting that I can't wait for it to be out on dvd. That doesn't happen very often anymore since alot of movies these days are really dumb and have a boring storyline.

But i think it's completely a different experience watching the movies with extra ordinary special effects on the big screen with all that surrounding sound effect which i suppose we can't afford at our homes.

that's very true.
And besides, I don't like going to the movies alone, and with all these sites online where you can watch the latest movies for free on your computer, most of the people I know don't want to bother spending money at the cinema when they can watch for free in the comfort of their own home

Hi mike..
Hey you mentioned about watching movies in your mother tongue in India? Incidentally i am also working in Hyderabad though i am a North Indian. Where do you belong to?
I can understand your problem because even i face the same problem that many a times the theatres have regional movies boarded and would have a single show os a hindi or english movie in a day.
But even i enjoy watching movies. The last time i saw a movie in a theatre in Hyderabad was 10000 BC and i saw Race in Noida. I like watching movies and i dont mind going to theatres provided the movie is worth watching it in a theatre else i would prefer watching it on my PC. So everytime a new movie comes in a theatre, i would plan to watch it..

Before, every weekend watching a movie is my hobby. It's the way I release my tiresome week. I tend to make sure I watch almost all the new movies. But as other movie resources came up such as Internet and DVD collection, I stopped going into theaters. Instead of buying a ticket that's worth one DVD collection that contains more than one movie, I'd rather save it.

Yea even i turned towards watching movies on the internet and on dvds , but if a particular movie is worth watching i'll definitely watch in the nearby multiplex.

If it's something I'm eagerly waiting for, I'd go see it on the opening day. And if a movie trailer looks interesting and the reviews are good, I'd go the second weak or so just to avoid the crowds. Theater is always the first choice for me.

I love watching movies but anymore I usually wait to see them on DVD its alot cheaper and you get to watch without the noisy teenagers and you also are able to get comfy in your own home and pause it for any breaks. Though I am a huge fan of the horror films and I also love Drew Barrymore and Joshua Jackson so sometimes Ill make the exception for one of those and take a trip to the theatre

As often as I can! I guess it's safe to say that I do it on a weekly basis. I watch movies at least once a week. I am a movie buff. I just love the few hours I spend in the theatre. You just lose your sense of time and for me it is a good thing because it takes my mind away from school and things that I have to do in life.

Not frequently.Normally after an exams my parents allow me watch movies with my friends for relaxing. If my exam results are good they would allow me to go again.
