How not to get irritated by the unnecessary honkings by others as you drive?

Bala! You have raised a very pertinent point. Many of the drivers unnessarily keep on honking their horns, even if they know that there is a red traffic signal ahead and it is not possible to move. They are simply incorrigible. Some of the them blow their horns, unmindful of the fact whether they are passing through 'no horn' zone, but I find it difficult to deal with such situtions.
If you are in your AC car, your windows are all rolled up, then you can listen to music through your music system in the car at a bit louder volume to ignore the honking of horns. However, if your windows are rolled down then you cannot help or if you on a bike or a scooter, options are very few, just try to leave that place, as quickly as possible.

I would just ignore them. If you make a gesture to them, it will only get worse. Some people get road rage and they will do worse than honk their horn at you. I would just act like I don't hear them and just ignore them when they do it to you.

Ugh I dont think there is a way to get over that, Im starting to think people honk just for the fun of it, but its not only annoying its dangerous, its human reaction to look around and see what their beeping about but that takes your focus off what you should be paying attention too.
