Mother nature must be very angry today at us Canadians. Well in my province anyway. We're having a blizzard today and it's so depressing because just yesterday the weather was so nice. I figured the snow was gone forsure but last night I noticed that the weather network was telling us there was a winter storm warning for today
I felt sorry for my son who had to stand outside waiting for his bus but I did make him dress warm for it and I'm hoping that the schools keep the kids inside for recess today as it is pretty chilly out there. It's minus twelve with the windchill.
My son went from wearing his spring jacket for the last week or two to bundling up in his snowpants and winter jacket with a touque, mitts and scarf.
Not only are we affected by this snowstorm but my cats are going crazy as well. It's very dark and gloomy out there, definitly would've been nice if my son didn't have school today and we could've just called it a snowday!
I'm thinking that this has something to do with Global Warming?
I just took that picture before I started writing this discussion and it looks like we've already got a foot of snow and I'm not looking forward to driving a long distance to work tomorrow night if the snow is still here by then and hasn't melted.

I so envy you right now! I wish it was in the 80's here in Canada! I think it's going to start warming up tomorrow from what the forecast calls anyway. I hope so that's forsure, we just went through a long cold winter and I and everyone here want it finally gone as well!
Over the weekend it was a bit chilly but I couldn't complain because there was no snow and it was my weekend off of work so I had my bonfire party and we were lucky I guess.
Thanks for your comment

We had our (hopefully) last winter storm on Vancouver Island BC on the 19 of April with 12 to 27 inches of snow(yes, inches) depending on what side of Nanaimo you lived on!4 days later and despite a few flurries since, the snow has melted away .The rumour before the rain hits is a sunny day Sat with temps around 17,but I am not going to put the snow shovel away just yet.....
Welcome to spring in Canada....eh?

Awwe well it just gives me more time to spend on mylot I guess hehehe.
I have another friend from B.C and I noticed on her facebook status that it said it was snowing in April. At least your downfall is hopefully over now, and so will ours too. I believe that tomorrow it's suppost to be plus three? I hope this is the last and final one and our spring arrives.
Thanks for your information lonewolfnan

I'm with you on that one luvstochat! Come on Spring!! I don't remember last year being this way. I think once the snow melted, it was finally gone and we had a great spring and summer.
Every year is different though, but I wished it was just the way it was suppose to be.

Brrrr. That makes me feel cold just reading about it! I am in England with the window open and bright sunshine, but there is a strong wind and it is quite cold outside. We had snow one day this month, it was quite deep but soon thawed. I hope you will get some warmer weather soon.

I am in the UK too and am enjoying looking out at the sunshine and hearing the birds singing. However, it was raining this morning when I went out so you can never tell what the weather is going to do.

Oh wow! I know just what you mean, but it sure is beautiful!! The snow absorbs all the sounds and it's just so quiet and peaceful. Even though I don't want any, I can enjoy that part of it if it happens. It's just "clean", if you know what I mean.

Yesterday was pretty stormy and left us with snow all over the place and it feels like we're walking into a huge freezer when we go outside. It's just disappointing when I thought winter was over and spring arrived, then this snow fell all over again.
I'm really counting on the sun to come out and melt it all away and leave us with some warmth.
Today it's really cold outside and I can't wait for it to get warm outside so we don't have to be over bundled with huge winter jackets.
I heard from two sources yesterday that it was suppose to snow again today
